Meet Yusra Gaga, North West Zonal Winner of the Young Adult Literature Prize 2025, with he entry: MY DARKEST NIGHTMARES
Miss Yusra Bashir Gaga, 22, is a fashion enthusiast and aspiring writer from Kano State. A specialist in female attire, she combines her love for fashion with a growing passion for creative writing. She attended Nuoble Pride High School and is currently a 300-level student of English Linguistics at the Federal University Dutse, Jigawa State. In her first year, she won third place in the NASELS FUD Spelling Bee competition. Writing, which began as a hobby in junior high school, has evolved into a defining part of her identity, reflected in her poems and creative works. Curious, determined, and innovative, Yusra thrives on challenges and continues to explore her creative potential through fashion and literature.
Though the youngest finalist, she now stands a chance to win an additional ₦1,000,000 if she emerges as the Grand Prize Winner on November 1.
